I had major heel bursitis and arch issues when I ordered these. The heel was cushioned enough, but I have to have a heel strap.This is my 3rd pair of these shoes, evidently I like them.These sandals are great for support and comfort which is extremely important to me after having plantar fasciitis for years! I only wish I would’ve listened to the other reviews and ordered a size smaller because they do stretch quite a bit and then feel loose on your feet while walking. I hesitated to order them smaller because other styles of sandals in this same brand have been slightly small on me. Overall, they are fantastic everyday sandals!This is my second pair of Drift sandals. The first pair I bought over 3 yrs ago and I still wear today but the upper has stretched making the fit quite loose which is fine for wearing around the house but not so much when your doing something that involves lots of walking. The Drift sandal is by far my favorite sandal. It's comfortable right out of the box, and has great foot support and I can wear the sandal all day without feet getting sore. Two things I dislike about the sandal. The footbed is not removable/replaceable. You can't tighten the upper part of the sandal, so once it stretches out over time the shoe becomes looser.I love these sandals. The color is beautiful and the design is unuusal and wonderful. I need good arch and footbed support, but I also love to wear sandals. I wear these nearly year round. Naots are unbelievable for durability. I'm still wearing the first pair I bought a year ago to take walks and work in the garden. They have faded slightly, but are still going strong. That's why I was so glad to be able to get a backup pair.Bought a half size smaller because I expected the leather to stretch to stretch. I have high arches and didn't want to take a risk with my regular size of 10(US) stretching too much as the shoe cost is rather high for a retired person. Shoe allows me pain free days while shopping on concrete floors.These are very comfortable shoes, but for the price I expect top-notch quality. I had worn them around the house very occasionally for several months before I finally took them for a weekend getaway. They remained very comfortable with a fair amount of walking around the resort. I was surprised, however, to notice the plastic heel covering pulling away from the shoe after returning from the weekend. The shoes did not get wet and were not misused in any way. I'm trying Duco Cement to keep the plastic in place. But obviously I should not have to resort to this kind of fix, especially after so little wear.I have had these sandals in the past and loved them so much, I wore them out. Wonderful arch support, easy to break in as well. Ordered a replacement pair, but the toe ring on one was situated in the wrong place, so I returned. I ended up with Birkenstock Mayara, but may reorder these at a later date. I wear a 6 1/2M, and the 37 fit me perfectly.
